Last evening we had a full house at our monthly financial literacy seminar series. Many thanks to Marlenne Doss for sharing her expertise with our guests where we covered a variety of topics related to estate planning essentials and the importance of having a valid and up to date will and estate plan. So many good intentions fall short if the will isn’t drafted properly. A lot of pain can be avoided by having a detailed financial plan that includes a deep understanding of how the estate plan is intended to play out. This past Saturday in Durham Region I am pleased to share that we were one of 200 communities across Canada that participated in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, raising over $3 Million Nationally in support of Alzheimer Societies. Since 2015 we have raised over $47 Million!!! The rainy weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the hundreds of people who showed up at Cullen Gardens. This was truly lots of fun for a great cause and proud to share that over $162K was raised by our participants!Special thanks to all of the volunteers who showed up with fantastic energy and big smiles that made the event run so smoothly.#igwalkforalz Gina Love, B. Everyone had a great time at a local event hosted by 94.9 The Rock in support of Feed the Need in Durham. The Great Meatball Off which was held at the BOND|ST Event Centre pitted Craig Venn Vs Chef Christian Pritchard, both of British descent to tackle Italy's holiest and most sacred recipe - the meatball in a head-to-head battle for meatball supremacy. Featuring celebrity guest judges Massimo Capra and Andrea Nicholson. Congratulations to Craig who won with an homage to his mother in laws recipe, after a crowd vote! A wonderful event for a great cause. Thanks to 94.9 FM personalities Doug Elliott and Lucky for hosting.#Durham

Today I had the IG Wealth Management Rouge Valley Senior Advisor teams in Durham out for some fun and team building at the BATL Axe Throwing in Pickering. Lots of fun and laughter was had by all and a bit of friendly competition. Today our region hosted an exclusive client event at Parkwood Estate in Oshawa. A number of our advisors and their guests spent special time participating in a festive workshop where they assembled a lasting holiday arrangement under the guidance of Greenhouse Grower, Nancy Lawrence. The scent of flowers, pine, spruce and cedar boughs created a very festive atmosphere enjoyed by all as we gathered and prepared for the holidays. On Saturday night I had the pleasure of hosting our annual IG Wealth Management national comedy tour held at the Meridian Arts Centre in Markham. We had a phenomenal lineup of talent that thoroughly entertained over 600 of our valued clients and community members. Casey Corbin, Rob Pue, Kevin Bozeman and Caroline Rhea had everyone laughing from the opening minute. Over the past 20 years this event has grown to be the largest corporate comedy show in North America and we have entertained thousands of people across our great nation. Special thanks to all of our advisors who made it out to the event and hosted their clients as well as Jessica Risa Wong and Shie-Mee Yeh for pulling this altogether! #comedy #IGWealthManagement
