"Youth is the gift of nature, but age is a work of art." 🎨This is 46. 🙏🏼Started my day off with the annual sunrise birthday hike. 🌅 Out the door by about 4:55. ⏱️Reflecting on the last year of my life… 💭I grew in strength because I was put through trials. 💪🏼I grew in faith because I leaned in closer to God. ✝️I failed at some things and I learned valuable lessons. ❌I shed some friendships that no longer served anyone. 🫠I actively pursued new friendships that still amaze me. 🤯I continue to overflow with gratitude because of the beauty I choose to see in my life. 🤗I grew in a grounded confidence because of all of the above. 😉All of this and I am still growing each and every day. Learning. Exploring. In a room of about 300 people, probably 20-30 raised their hands…and those were the courageous ones. The damage isn’t just fleeting. Some people have been carrying these verbal wounds around for their entire lives as if it were their identity.Let’s break the cycle and breathe life back into those around us.In the grand scheme of life, words are the threads that weave our stories. Something REALLY cool happened yesterday…My son got to hear me give a Keynote for the first time.He’s 16, it’s summer time, and my Keynote was local, so I asked if he wanted to be my videographer/photographer for the day.We walked the room to talk about different shots that I wanted, I introduced him to people I know in the industry and he handled it all like a total champ. The Keynote went great and I had so many people come up afterwards and tell me how meaningful it was for them…but when my kiddo hugged me and told me how proud he was of me…it topped off the entire experience.Thank you Arizona Assisted Living Federation of America, Karen Barno, and Kim Yeatts for the opportunity and the warm welcome!#AZALFA2024
