Have you ever felt the sting of rejection? ❤️🩹Perhaps it was the promotion that slipped through your fingers. Or the contract that vanished into thin air. Maybe it was the client who decided to go another direction. What is the story you’ve created around how rejection shows up for you? 📖Is it a persistent critic, always reminding you of what you didn’t achieve? Or is it a misunderstood teacher, nudging you towards growth and resilience?Rejection isn't the end of the road…it's a detour, a redirection, a plot twist in your story.Jamie Kern Lima said something powerful that completely reframed it for me:When I get rejected or fail I often imagine God saying to me:"You weren't rejected.I just hid your value from them, as they weren’t assigned to your destiny." JKL 🤯So, how will you rewrite your story? Will it be one of defeat, or will it be a tale of unstoppable grit and determination? How will you transform those "stings" into powerful wings of growth! 🦋

I love this post Sonnie Linebarger I believe in my heart God is saying to me “Laura, your platform at the company that laid you off was far too small; I’m now preparing you for a much greater platform to help people in ways you never imagined. Trust and keep faith.” ❤️🙏 Writing my book and sharing my layoff story is just part 1 in spreading those wings 😉

My daughter and I have a saying we use when we need to explore how we are feeling about a situation. I wish I could remember where I learned it but it's so powerful. "The story I'm telling myself in me head is...." It helps us be vulnerable and honest with each other. Sonnie being at peace with what's happening in a season is hard. Thanks for this wisdom

Whoa- "they weren't assigned to your destiny" BOOM. Sonnie Linebarger this is so good. And you are right- incredible reframe. People come into your life for a reason or a season and sometimes they are mean to just keep on going. This is a great way to let go and stay in that mindset of abundance.

It may be cliche. But often that rejection is just a little redirection we may have needed.

Love this reminder so much! That is an excellent quote and I will carry that one with me, Sonnie Linebarger - there are a million and one reasons why rejections happen that have little or nothing to do with us, yet we still internalize and take them personally. Let's rewrite these stories and watch ourselves soar! 😍

Rejection is redirection. Always. As someone who was rejected by 100's of companies when leaving my career, I realized it was a whisper to thinking differently..more boldly!

"Youth is the gift of nature, but age is a work of art." 🎨This is 46. 🙏🏼Started my day off with the annual sunrise birthday hike. 🌅 Out the door by about 4:55. ⏱️Reflecting on the last year of my life… 💭I grew in strength because I was put through trials. 💪🏼I grew in faith because I leaned in closer to God. ✝️I failed at some things and I learned valuable lessons. ❌I shed some friendships that no longer served anyone. 🫠I actively pursued new friendships that still amaze me. 🤯I continue to overflow with gratitude because of the beauty I choose to see in my life. 🤗I grew in a grounded confidence because of all of the above. 😉All of this and I am still growing each and every day. Learning. Exploring. Evolving. 💯I love birthdays because I GET to experience them. ✨And the one thing I can assure you of is…I am only just getting started. 🔥Do you have any sort of birthday tradition that you practice?

Can you unlock the secret to a healthy mind? 🧠Ever wonder why a single sentence can make or break your day? Words, my friends, are powerful…wielding the power to uplift or unravel us in mere moments.✨ The Magic of UpliftmentThink back to the last time someone genuinely praised you.Encouraging words can ignite passions, bolster courage, and light up our paths like a thousand suns. A well-placed compliment or a simple "You’ve got this!" can transform a day, a project, or even a life. It’s like planting seeds of possibility that blossom into success.💔 The Curse of NegativityOn the flip side, the sting of harsh words can echo in our minds for years. These negative nuggets nestle into our psyche, eroding self-worth and breeding self-doubt.At my Keynote earlier this week, I asked people to raise their hand if someone had ever said something negative or hurtful that they were still carrying around. In a room of about 300 people, probably 20-30 raised their hands…and those were the courageous ones. The damage isn’t just fleeting. Some people have been carrying these verbal wounds around for their entire lives as if it were their identity.Let’s break the cycle and breathe life back into those around us.In the grand scheme of life, words are the threads that weave our stories. Let’s make sure we’re weaving masterpieces, not unraveling dreams. What are you doing through your words and actions to inspire and lift others up?

Something REALLY cool happened yesterday…My son got to hear me give a Keynote for the first time. He’s 16, it’s summer time, and my Keynote was local, so I asked if he wanted to be my videographer/photographer for the day.We walked the room to talk about different shots that I wanted, I introduced him to people I know in the industry and he handled it all like a total champ. The Keynote went great and I had so many people come up afterwards and tell me how meaningful it was for them…but when my kiddo hugged me and told me how proud he was of me…it topped off the entire experience.Thank you Arizona Assisted Living Federation of America, Karen Barno, and Kim Yeatts for the opportunity and the warm welcome!#AZALFA2024

“When women come together with a collective intention, magic happens.” ✨✨This weekend filled my soul with goodness and my life with amazing women.None of us new what to expect. Most of us had never met IRL, but 14 of us packed our bags and showed up with open minds and hearts…ready to lean in so far our faces touched the ground.Shoutout to Lyndsay Dowd and Michelle Pecak for all the work that went into planning this weekend. 🙏🏼🫶🏼Andrew DeGood and the men of Iron Tribe, so grateful the stars aligned and we had the opportunity to meet up.Surround yourself with people who pour into you and want to see you win and then reciprocate the hell out of it. In the bank of life, every interaction is a transaction. We make deposits and withdrawals based on the people we surround ourselves with. 📈To keep our accounts positive and growing, we need self-awareness and a conscious effort to deposit into others.🤝 Surround yourself with those who uplift, challenge, and inspire you, and strive to be the same for others. 📉If you recognize that someone is withdrawing from you regularly, you need to think about whether that account should stay open.✋🏼Don’t leave it to chance for it be overdrawn and go negative.Let's build a community of mutual growth, where every connection enriches us and contributes to our collective success. Let’s be a community rich in support, kindness, and connection. What does your community bank statement reflect?
