My story is also very similar to that. When I was in my 4th year, I was too worried about my placement in any company, but fortunately, due to some good guidance from seniors (Sumit Maurya and Vijay Sen Singh Yadav) in the initial days of my 4th year, I became aware of LeetCode and started practicing DSA on the same. After having a good hand on DSA, I cracked some small service-based companies, and I also had a TCS-Digital offer, but I was not satisfied. I continued my DSA practice and applied to Glance for the role of SDE intern. My resume got shortlisted, and on one good day, I gave my interview for the SDE-Intern role at Glance. The result came, and I was one of the very few candidates who got selected for the role. After joining Glance I was overjoyed by seeing the culture, environment, and support you get from seniors. So for me in Glance, environment, support, and culture were there; I just had to put in my dedication and hard work, and that I did also π€©π€©.Lastly, I would like to thank Chethan Murthy (who believed in me), Ankur Mudgal (for always helping me learn new technology), Nitesh Malviya (for always listening to my silliest doubts), sarthak sehgal (for giving me new and challenging tasks every new week π), and Heena Shirol (for smooth onboarding process). All thanks to my parents and friends, who were always there with me through my highs and lows β€οΈ.#android #glance #inmobi #roposo #developer #sde

8 August 2022 ( People will Blabber, Work Hard & Believe in Yourself !!)βΌοΈ This is not a Motivational Post βΌοΈIt's been seven months since I have been working in Corporate, and after six months as Intern, I'm glad to share that I have been promoted to SDE-1 at slice But this all was a dream for Chirag a year ago.Summer Breaks before Placements Season are challenging for all students, and so was it for me, especially when one has to practice all Coding Questions, Development, and CS fundamentals. Moreover, I was also working as an SDE Intern at ElectricPe and a Mentor at Apna College along with my YouTube Channel. It was a lot for that time, but that's what has always given me the Kick (as Sallu bhai says π). People around me kept saying that with all these going on, I Will Never Be Able To Do Anything, and somewhere in the middle, this struck me Hardly. Still, I decided to go on, work hard, and not focus on what was cooking around me.After Working Hard, I got a PPO offer from ElectricPe; At this point, I was relaxed but still working for College Placements and on 8 August, I got my offer from Slice. That was one of the best companies that came to our campus. If I had taken those people seriously back then, I wouldn't have been able to find the path I am on today. So keep working hard and believe In Yourself !!Have a great Day π(P.S.: The picture is with my family celebrating my placement in Slice)

Ever scroll through LinkedIn and notice it's all about the wins and success stories? Let's break the mold. Just came out of the final interview at Optmyzr, chasing a SDE intern role.*Here's the lesson I learned* - making projects that stand out is as crucial as solving DSA problems and doing your core subjects. So, here's the scoop for anyone aiming high: Don't just focus on the end goal, but relish the journey. Learn from every experience. In my case, it's a reminder that projects matter as much as technical skills. I'll be sharing about the interviews I'll tackle in the future. Success or setback, I'll be here, sharing the experiences and lessons learned.π#InterviewExperiences#lessonlearned

In just over two years, my tech journey has been a whirlwind of growth and impact. In my initial role as a Full Stack Developer, I actively co-supervised, mentored, and contributed to the selection process for interns and junior engineers. Then, in my second role as an SDE2, I had the privilege of guiding a summer intern. This underscores that experience isn't just about time, but the knowledge and passion we bring to the table. Regardless of our experience, we all have the power to shape our field, inspiring and empowering those who follow. It's a reminder that in the tech world, every experience counts. Here's to embracing the journey and its endless possibilities. #tech #career #mentorship #growth

I completed 3 internships before starting as an SDE. Crafting a detailed study plan, breaking my preparation into manageable segments, was crucial for my career growth. For instance:π΄ DSA - I started by mastering fundamentals, then focused on one data structure at a time, beginning with arrays.π΄ Projects - I created several basic and intermediate projects to support my portfolio.π΄ Networking - I actively participated in tech conferences, learning from esteemed professionals and their insights. This strategy helped me to consistently improve and achieve my dream role πͺπ»So, if you're struggling, you can take the help of Preplaced's top engineers who can help you create a roadmap and provide training for skill improvement, project building, and interview readiness.Book your FREE session - https://lnkd.in/gRqZTKjzP.S.: A huge shoutout to all of you for supporting me on this journey! β€οΈ#internship #job #sde #softwareengineer #opportunity #dsa #preparation #swe #collab #ppo #placement

ππ² πππ π’π§πππ«π―π’ππ° ππ ππ’ππ«π¨π¬π¨ππβ¦. ππ’ππ§'π π π¨ π©ππ«πππππ₯π²πRejections happen to the best of us, and it happened to me. Here's why I failed in my interview:--My DSA & system design knowledge had some gaps. I needed to solidify core concepts.--I Couldn't clearly explain my thought process during technical challenges. --My projects lacked depth and direction. While rejection stings, it was a wake-up call. Here's what I did to turn things around:>Revisited core system design concepts and practiced them thoroughly.>Spent time (daily) brushing up on DSA on LeetCode.>Did mock interview, focusing on thought process β explaining the tradeoffs.>I revisited my projects, focusing on showcasing the design decisions I made and the challenges I tackled. The road was tough, but the effort paid off after months of dedicated work. I landed an SDE role at Microsoft! Here are 2 key takeaways for anyone prepping for SDE interviews:πPractice problem-solving & explaining your thought process during problem-solving. πShowcase impactful projects, because theory won't be enough.Remember, setbacks are part of the journey. LinkedIn will tell you that I am a SDE-2 at Microsoft but won't tell you- I was rejected by many companies for summer internship- Many companies didn't select me for placement- I had no idea how to create resume and didn't know the ABC of web development.- I was clueless about interview preparation and constantly comparing myself with my batchmates. At that time, I felt like there was a huge wall in front of my goals. I had to break it down alone with constant hard work on dev concepts and DSA problems. But then after rejection I changed my approach. Found a coding partner and started preparing together. If you are also facing rejection, modify your approach !!Follow SIMRANPREET KAUR Satbir Singh for more such content !!#coding_partner #microsoft #interviewprep

Throughout my journey, I've encountered various setbacks and rejections, each proving to be a significant learning opportunity:- The D. E. Shaw Group: Unsuccessful in the Online Assessment for the Fellowship Program 2023.- Intuit: Failed the Online Assessment for SDE Intern 2023.- VISA: Unsuccessful in the Online Assessment for SDE Intern 2023.- Adobe: Couldn't proceed after the Online Interview in 2023.- Providence: Unsuccessful in the Online Assessment for SDE Intern 2023.- Amazon: Fell short at the Online Assessment of ML Scholarship 2023.- Atlassian: Didn't make it through the Online Interview for SDE Intern 2024.- Goldman Sachs: Unsuccessful in the Online Assessment for SDE Intern 2024.- Smart India Hackathon: Missed the Finals qualification in 2023.The missed opportunities, especially in internships and fellowship programs, were often attributed to a lack of awareness. Nevertheless, these experiences have proven invaluable, providing profound insights and lessons that contribute significantly to my personal and professional growth. In the face of these challenges, I've embraced the philosophy that "consistency is the key". Despite the series of setbacks, I am eagerly awaiting that one breakthrough. It's a reminder to keep hustling, to keep trying, and to maintain unwavering dedication. I firmly believe that my consistent effort will pave the way for future success.Remember, failure is not a roadblock but a stepping stone. Each rejection is an opportunity to refine and improve. As I continue to navigate this journey, I am fueled by the determination to excel and the confidence that my efforts will eventually yield the success I aspire to achieve.Launching into a new adventure, armed with lessons from past challenges. Ready to turn setbacks into success stories. Let the hustle begin! πΌπ #NewJourney #GrowthMindset #failures #talkaboutfailures #rejection #redirection #goldmansachs #talentsprint #deshaw #atlassian #sih #smartindiahackathon #aiml #amazon #internship
